FAILAKA: CONTEMPRARY ARCHEOLOGY
I finally got the chance to visit Failaka a few years ago. Having idolized that place for so long, I was washed with sadness at the ruins that stood before me. However, my eye soon got over that nostalgia and I began taking a closer look at my surroundings – the landscape, the abandoned playgrounds and the architecture of those lonely houses.
I started taking in the patterns, the harmony of color, the grids, the geometry, and the layout in those photos.
